Year Three.
My third year at UC was one for the books! After spending the summer in Springfield for a my second co-op rotation at Tech II, I was eager to be back on campus. I was met with the challenge of a rigorous course load and a demanding position as VP of Finance of Tri Delta. It was extremely difficult to have to prioritize tasks and manage my time efficiently. Sometimes having to say no to fun things when work needed to be done proved to be the most difficult task of all. The spring semester seemed to be a preparation for the amount of time I would need to spend on campus, my days were packed! I ended the semester with a 3.385, which was tough to see given that has been my worst semester yet. However, it just shows I need to start off the semester stronger and devote more, effective study time.
So after a tough fall, the spring semester couldn't come soon enough. Especially because it was spent in London!!!! Studying abroad in London had to be the most amazing experience I think I will ever have. It was so incredible to get to see so much of the world, but made me realize how much more there is to see! I felt like I didn't have enough time to go everywhere I could have possibly wanted to, but it definitely gave me a great start! To be able to have spent a short time living abroad makes you realize that just because things are done a certain way in the States doesn't mean that's the only way they can be done. I think my roommate had a hard time with that. I really tried to embrace the other cultures we were in and get a sense of what it is like to live there. We got to visit Budapest, Hungary, Paris, France, Barcelona, Spain, Rome, Italy, Florence, Italy, Cinque Terre, Italy, Venice, Italy, Dublin, Ireland, Prague, Czech Republic, Edinburgh, Scotland, and Lisbon, Portugal. An INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Also can't thank the Honors Program enough for helping to make it happen! Read more in my Living London post!
